General Job Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under thesupervision of a licensed physician. Conduct patient histories and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Develop and implement treatment plans. Prescribe medications. Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and thesupervising physician. Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and healthmanagement. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses and otherhealthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Document medical records accurately and thoroughly. Stay current on best medical practices through continuingeducation.
Skills:
Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills in a specific areaof medicine ( family medicine, surgery, pediatrics, etc.). Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients andcollaborate effectively with staff. Proficiency in performing relevant physical examinations andprocedures. Ability to develop and implement treatment plans. Time management and organizational skills to manage a patientworkload effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree froman accredited program.
License & Certifications:
Active and unencumbered PA license in applicable state National certification from the National Commission onCertification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
