Cardiac Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Inpatient Surgical OR Columbus Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join the Vascular Surgery team working at our Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown and Northside campuses located in Columbus, GA. This is a full-time position. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days a week with varying call responsibilities. This position may occasionally provide some in-patient cross coverage for other cardiovascular service lines such as cardiology. This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nations leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly-trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.
In this position you will:
Perform OR first assist duties Admit, Consult, and Round on patients in the hospital Assist in management of post-operative and critically ill patients Evaluate Cardiovascular patients in the office setting Potential to assist in office-based procedures Apply specialized skills and knowledge related to the care of patients in intensive care areas Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization Piedmont offers: Competitive compensation and benefits package Generous CME allowance

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters, Bachelors degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification –or– Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification and RNFA certification
Experience:
Previous Vascular Surgery with operative experience preferred. Will consider those with previous cardiovascular experience and an operative interest.
