Job Description:
Cardiothoracic Surgery PA(Per-Diem)
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center- Burlington
Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a 345-bed nationally recognized tertiary care hospital, as a Per Diem Physician Assistant in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Your Role:
Provide post-op care in ICU, Progressive Care, and Telemetry.
Manage post-op cardiac surgery patients (ventilators, inotropes, vasoactive meds).
Manage post-op thoracic surgery patients.
Treat urgent medical issues (arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, sepsis).
ER consults & admissions.
Surgical consults.
Pre-op patient evaluation & preparation.
Experience with: chest tube insertion, central/arterial lines, Swan-Ganz management.
Handle urgent outpatient calls.
Collaborate in a high-acuity environment.
Requirements:
2+ years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.
Expertise in pre, intra, and post-op cardiothoracic patient management.
Proficiency in ICU management.
Strong procedural skills.
Excellent teamwork & communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast pacedenvironment.
Shift:
Rotating, Per Diem.
