Description Family Practice Averill Park is looking for apart-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join theirteam. The schedule for this position is 3 days a week, for a totalof 28 hours per week. Responsibilities Practice medicine with physician supervision includingconducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-termmedical needs of patients. Assess patient status by obtaining health history. Order/perform laboratory diagnostic and other screeningtests. Treat illnesses, give injections, suture wounds. Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care. Counsel patient/family on preventive health care. Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education,clinical guideline development and other continuing education. Full-Time Annual Salary Range:

$100,000- $150,000. Salaries for part-time positions will beprorated accordingly. CCP salary ranges are designed to becompetitive with room for professional and financial growth.

Physician Assistant:

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in physician assistant studiesand successful completion of physician assistant training programapproved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by theAccreditation Review Commission on Education for the PhysicianAssistant, or a program that is determined by the Department to bethe substantial equivalent of a licensure qualifying or accreditedprogram. Attainment of passing grade on the Physician Assistant NationalCertifying Examination administered by the National Commission onCertification of Physician Assistants. Current certification by National Commission on Certificationof Physician Assistants. At least one year of experience as a physician assistant inambulatory health care. Current CPR certification.

Nurse Practitioner:

Successful completion of and graduation from a nursepractitioner education program acceptable to NYSED. Current certification as a nurse practitioner by the AmericanAcademy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or theAmerican Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Successful completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable toNYSED. Three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatorysetting preferred. At least one year of experience as a nurse practitioner inambulatory health care. Current CPR certification.
