We are seeking a dedicated and skilledPhysician Assistant – Neurosurgery for a combo day/night shiftrole. This role requires an individual who is passionate aboutmaking a difference in patients’ lives, and who is eager to work ina fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The successful candidatewill have a deep understanding of neurosurgery, with the ability toindependently assess patients, order appropriatelabs/tests/consults, and work collaboratively with the attendingphysician and PA team. This role also requires the candidate toevaluate inpatient consults and round on hospital patients at fivearea hospitals, as well as perform history and physicals. Thisposition requires a commitment to providing the highest level ofcare and a desire to continually improve and learn.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate inpatient consults and round on hospitalpatients at five area hospitals. Perform comprehensive history andphysicals. Independently assess patients and order appropriatelabs/tests/consults. Assist in surgical cases, as neededCollaborate effectively with the attending physician and PA team,fostering a team-oriented environment. Maintain a high level ofprofessionalism and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

Continually seek opportunities for professional development andstay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neurosurgery.

Schedule:

3/12’s Days and nights Weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studiesMust possess a New Jersey DEA license and New Jersey CDS license.

Must have ACLS and BLS certifications. Board Certification isrequired. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to workeffectively as part of a team. Excellent decision-making skills,with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Strongcommitment to patient care, with a passion for improving patientoutcomes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Demonstrated ability to independently assess patients and orderappropriate labs/tests/consults.
