The Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Outpatient Thoracic Surgery performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making. Qualifications:
NP Qualifications:
Master s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in [State] National certification (ACNP, FNP, or equivalent) Thoracic, surgical, or oncology experience preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in a high-volume, academic or tertiary care setting Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
PA Qualifications:
Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:
Graduate of a U.S. school accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on the Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Masters preferred
Knowledge, Education and Skills Preferred:
At least two years of practice as a surgical Physician Assistant Neuroscience experience preferred EPIC experience preferred
Required Certification/Licensing:
NJ Physician Assistant License

- C.D.S. Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate
