Salary is Negotiable After successful completion of theprobationary period, employee will receive off probation wageincrease.

Summary:

Under direct supervision of the MedicalDirector, provides independent primary care in a variety ofclinical settings to a specified population of non-emergencypatients. Provides consultation and advice to others as ahighly-specialized practitioner. Maintains confidentiality of allprivileged information. Continuation of this position is contingentupon funding allocations.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide and managedirect patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations,assessments, diagnoses and treatment within subspecialty practicefor a specified patient population. 2. Prescribe pharmaceuticals,other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate toassessed medical conditions. 3. Function independently within theestablished protocols, under the professional medical supervisionof a local physician licensed to practice in the State ofWisconsin. 4. Secure a health and developmental history frompatient or parents; record findings and formulate criticalevaluations. 5. Differentiate between normal and abnormal findingsto recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mentalproblems. 6. Identify and manage specific illnesses as directed bySupervisor. 7. Conduct specialty clinics, including but not limitedto, well?baby, well?child, ambulatory care and reproductive health.8. Provide direct psychological nursing care in the presence ofillness or disability in order to maintain life, provide comfort,reduce stress and enhance coping abilities. 9. Refer patients toother specialists and to relevant patient care components asappropriate. 10. Order test for lab and ancillary services todetermine cause of patient condition. Develops treatment plan forcondition. 11. May train and supervise medical students andresidents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, asappropriate. 12. Follow established departmental policies,procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvementobjectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection controlstandards. 13. Participate in specified health promotion, educationand/or prevention programs. 14. Provide treatment plans; writeappropriate orders, including those for narcotics, stimulants, anddepressant drugs. 15. Obtain patient histories and develop patientcare charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy. 16. Provideshealth education to patients and families. 17. Provide directpsychological medical care in the presence of illness or disabilityin order to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress andenhance coping abilities. 18. Enhance professional growth anddevelopment through participation in educational programs, currentliterature, in-service meetings, and workshops. 19. May performclinical research related to specific operations. 20. Contribute toa team effort and accomplishes related results as required. 21.Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, TribalStandard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plansand Policies. 22. Maintain strict department security,confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of thedepartment. 23.
