Advanced Providers Role Scope

  • We have agrowth opportunity for a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) orAdvanced Practice RN (APRN) who will enjoy: o Unique, 1:1 trainingwith a neurosurgeon o Growth and development.

o Both clinic and ORtime ( 1st Assist) o Working with a team of advanced practitionerswith an abundance of Neurosurgery experience o Participation inwork-up, planning, and surgical procedures including advancedcranial and spine surgeries (craniotomies for epilepsy, tumor, andtrauma as well as complex and deformity spine cases) o Establishedpractice and staff who take time with their patients Shift – FullTime four 10-hour shifts, M-F. Hours may vary dependent upon caseload Advanced Practitioners Enjoy At Hartford HealthCare newlygraduated and experienced providers are provided with the supportand mentorship they need to succeed through the job, classroom, andprocedural training.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.
  • Licensed, oreligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / AdvancedPractice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistantor National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice RegisteredNurse.
  • RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certificationrequired for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Preferred>1-year experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in aNeurosurgery or an Orthopedic setting; 1st Assist in ORpreferred
