(USA). We’re expanding! A new division of Women’s Health Pathology has been created at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and we are hiring a pathologist. The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is an outstanding tertiary care institution currently processing over 60,000 surgical pathology specimens per year. The Anatomic Pathology faculty in the department include a diverse group of faculty members with expertise encompassing the entire spectrum of subspeciality areas. Faculty are noted for multidisciplinary, academic productivity and national leadership. A string of diverse research portfolio in translational investigations is conducted by the faculty along with a teaching program. Required Qualifications We are seeking a pathologist with subspecialty training in Breast and/or GYN pathology expertise. Candidates should be interested in Academic Surgical Pathology and have a M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. Board Certification in anatomic pathology and eligibility for an Alabama medical license is required. Candidates beyond starting Assistant Professors should also have a record of substantial academic pathology productivity including publications and participation in national societies. Preferred Qualifications Subspecialty expertise in Breast and/or GYN expertise is required. Interest in other subspecialties may be considered.
