We are an independent, community,non-profit medical center accredited by Joint Commission with168-licensed beds. This includes 148 acute-care beds and a 20 bedSenior Behavioral Unit. We have a dedicated team of approximately490 employees and 60 volunteers. Our medical staff is comprised ofapproximately 40 active staff members and nearly 100 courtesy,consulting and Emergency Department staff members.
We are based 40miles southeast of Birmingham, however, our service area extendsthrough out five counties and has a population of approximately62,000 people.
In addition to our inpatient services we operate a13-bed Level Two Emergency Department that treats approximately30,000 patients annually. We offer Ambulatory/Outpatient Servicesthat provides treatment to 61,000 patients each year.
We have along-standing history of quality care and service to thecommunities we serve. Through the offerings of our medical centerand our medical staff we are able to offer a wide variety ofclinical services and medical staff specialties. After opening ournew acute-care facility, the West Wing, we have embarked on manyother significant renovations and service expansion projects sincethat time.
