The East Alabama Health (EAH) system is located in one of thefastest-growing counties in the state of Alabama. The beautifulAuburn-Opelika area is located 90 minutes from the Atlanta airport,two hours from Birmingham, and less than four hours from many GulfCoast beaches. It is also home to a diverse, well-connectedcommunity with outstanding school systems as well as a vibrant foodand entertainment industry. Auburn-Opelika is the second largestarea of growth in the state of Alabama, behind only Huntsville.

Tokeep up with the growing need of care in the area, we have expandedour facilities multiple times. In 2019, we grew our oncologyprogram significantly with the opening of the Spencer CancerCenter, a $40 million development. In 2021, we opened the AuburnMedical Pavilion in the Auburn University Research Park. ThePavilion houses the East Alabama Medical Center FreestandingEmergency Department, outpatient lab and radiology services, anambulatory surgery center and a specialized Breast Health Center.

Additionally, in 2021, with financial support from the communitythrough our EAMC Foundation, an 11-bed, level

III NICU

opened atEast Alabama Medical Center in Opelika to serve the growing patientdemand for infant services in the area.
