Job Description
A FQHC is seeking a family medicine physician for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Huntsville, AL. This outpatient opportunity is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with an active AL license and DEA. The assignment starts ASAP, lasts 3 months with the option to extend, and the credentialing process takes about 90 days. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Fridays 8 AM to 12 PM. Call is 1:6, phone only, and typically providers receive 1-2 calls per week. The role involves seeing 15-20 patients per day, ages 14 and up, and requires collaboration with midlevel providers. The site uses ECW for EMR, offers support from one physician and three NPs, and requires a current flu vaccine.
