Job Description
Primary Care Physician Thrive Alabama Job Description “Thrive Alabama is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our collaborative team in providing acute and chronic primary healthcare services. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8-5pm. No patients seen after 12pm on Friday
No rounding. Call is 1:6. Great Work/life balance

Your responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality comprehensive medical care to adolescents and adults, with occasional pediatrics patients
Managing general primary care, LGBTQI+ primary care, Hepatitis C, HIV, and STI testing and treatment
Documenting patient evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans in EMR
Collaborating with a team of providers to ensure evidence-based practice and knowledge exchange
Providing telemedicine services, minor procedures, and reviewing EKGs
Participating in on-call rotation and patient care team meetings
Leading quality improvement initiatives and educating staff, patients, and the community on health conditions
Requirements for this role include: MD or DO with specialization in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Board certification by ABFM, AOBFM, ABIM, or AOBIM
DEA registration and Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate eligibility
BLS certification and eligibility for Collaborative Practice Agreements
