Job Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY

To be fully engaged in providing Quality / No Harm Customer Experience and Stewardship by providing acute, episodic outpatient/inpatient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation and education as a certified Physician, trained in a clinical specialty.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

Practice medicine of excellent quality, while paying attention to appropriate and cost-efficient prescribing and ordering.

Create and implement innovative, state-of-the-art services to promote wellness, encourage efficient, self-directed management of chronic conditions, and optimize the quality of life for the patient and significant others/family members.

Possess a customer-oriented mindset, including effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the patient care team.

Interpersonal skills, compassion, and empathy to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

Compliance with approved initiatives for drugs and diagnostic studies.

Advise patients on lifestyle and diet changes that could help improve their health or treat the health problem they have.

Keep up to date with medical procedures, developments, treatments and available medication.

Comply with federal and state privacy laws, always respecting a patient’s confidentiality.

Collaboration and teamwork skills to work efficiently with others to provide new ideas and help inspire staff and management.

Completing medical documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Health First policies.

Time management skills to be able to see patients efficiently.

Participate in quality improvement and outcome assessment activities, the establishment of clinical pathways, and the measurement of clinical outcomes as requested. Work Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Board certified Physician’s Specialty (Board eligibility immediately post-residency is allowed in accordance with the Medical Staff By-Laws).

Work Experience:

None.

Licensure:

Current unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of Florida in good standing with the medical board.

Certification:

None.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Basic computer skills.

Proven track record in previous practice, employment, or training.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card.

Specialty specific certifications.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Ability to get appropriate specialty-specific credentials with our hospitals and insurance plans. Benefits
