Job Description
Ophthalmology Locums Physician
- Florida
- Light Call by the Beach This low-volume Ophthalmology call opportunity in Florida offers flexible dates and nearly guaranteed downtime in a coastal setting. Highlights Only 1 trauma consult/week on average 24-hour pager call
- stay within 1-hour of hospital 2-week summer assignment + PRN weekends every other month Less than an hour to the coast Practice Setting Inpatient only, Level II trauma center No peds
- adults only Full hospital support staff Schedule 2 consecutive weeks needed late July/August (dates flexible) Ongoing 4-day weekend coverage every other month 24-hour call shifts
- extremely minimal interruptions Cases and Procedures Sporadic traumatic eye assessments: orbital fractures, lid lacerations, corneal abrasions Acute eye trauma On-call for hospitalists when needed Requirements MD or DO, Board Certified in Ophthalmology Florida license required DEA certification Must stay within 1-hour proximity of the hospital during call Travel Accommodations Lodging, rental car, and mileage covered Airfare considered for the right provider Perfect for a locums physician looking to relax by the beach while keeping your skills active.
