Job Description
Job Requirements The Physician is responsible and accountable for providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior quality, Memorable Patient/Customer Experiences, and Financial Stewardship by providing acute, episodic outpatient/inpatient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation and education as a certified Physician, trained in a clinical specialty. Primary Accountabilities Effective utilization of MLPs, such as for repeated rounds to assess responses to treatment, obtain test results, etc. Compliance with approved initiatives for drugs and diagnostic studies Demonstrates ongoing skills in patient communication and education All activities shall be in accordance with the Hospitalist Program, other directives by Health First Physicians, Inc. requirements and the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations. Compliance with approved quality and outcome initiatives Legible and prompt documentation of all charting requirements to include timed and dated order Participates in ongoing Program quality and resource management activities Assure that patients, staff and referring physicians perceive that all of our patients are evaluated and managed by the Hospitalist physicians. Possess a customer-oriented mindset, including effective communication with patients, families, physicians and other members of the patient care team. Daily, face-to-face rounds with every patient Participates in new Program initiatives to enhance patient care, education and outcomes Effective coding and billing is essential to meet budgeted reimbursement Work Experience Graduate of ABMS-certified residency. Board-certified in Internal Medicine (Board-eligibility immediately post-residency is allowed in accordance with the Medical Staff By-Laws). Current, unrestricted Florida medical license. Basic computer skills. Proven track record in previous practice, employment or training. American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification upon hire and maintain.
