Job Description

Job Requirements Health First Careers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Swing Hospitalist Physician to join our team at HRMC in Melbourne, FL. This is a full-time position in the Other Jobs category within the HRMC ID Hospitalist department.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients admitted to HRMC
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care
  • Communicate with patients and their families to educate them on their conditions and treatment plans
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
Requirements:
  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Hospitalist Physician
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
Additional Parameters:
  • Must be able to work a swing shift schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to provide cross-coverage for other physicians as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Any one of the following: Doctorate’s in Medicine (MD) OR Doctorate’s in Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Completion of American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine in select cases.

Work Experience:
None Licensure:

Medical licensure in the State of Florida.

Certification:

Board Certified in Internal Medicine

  • Board Eligibility immediately post-residency is permitted in accordance with the Medical Staff By-Laws.

American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined, onsite, or remote.
