We are a rapidly growing OB/GYN practice dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for women. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled OB/GYN Sonographer to join our team and provide exceptional ultrasound services to our patients.
Position Overview :
The OB/GYN Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonograms for OB/GYN patients, and perform MFM and GYN studies. The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in MFM ultrasound, a strong ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills. You will collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform high-quality OB/GYN ultrasound exams, including but not limited to: First and second-trimester screenings High-risk obstetrical ultrasounds Fetal growth and anatomy scans Doppler studies and biophysical profiles (BPP) Transabdominal and Transvaginal GYN Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of all ultrasound findings and share them with the relevant medical staff for review. Communicate ultrasound findings effectively with OB/GYN physicians, MFM specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients regarding the ultrasound procedure. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, sanitized, and properly functioning. Report any issues to management promptly. Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in OB/GYN sonography. Participate in continuing education to maintain certifications and expand clinical expertise. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols. Assist in training and mentoring junior sonographers as needed.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound. ARDMS Certification in OB/GYN Sonography Proficiency in 3D/4D ultrasound imaging (preferred but not required). Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and fetal development. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff. Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and ultrasound software.
Additional Preferred Skills :
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required. Experience with advanced OB/GYN ultrasound techniques. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance. Why Join Us?
