As a member ofthe Optum Behavioral Care team, you’ll be an integral part of ourvision to make healthcare better for everyone. As a Psychiatrist,you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions thatreflect the needs of our diverse patient population. Primary Responsibilities:

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools, medical tests, anddiagnostic criteria to diagnose mental health conditions andformulate comprehensive treatment plans
• Prescribe and managepsychotropic medications per established protocols and clinicalguidelines; monitor medication efficacy and side effects, adjustingtreatment plans to optimize patient outcomes

MinimumRequirements:

• Clear, active and unrestricted Physician license(MD/DO) in the state of Florida
• Board certified in psychiatry bythe American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or eligiblefor board certification
• Active DEA (Drug EnforcementAdministration) registration
• Currently eligible to be enrolled asa provider in the Medicare program or able to terminate opt-out (ifapplicable) prior to starting a new position

PreferredQualifications:

• 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatientbehavioral health setting
• Experience providing patient education,specifically regarding medication treatment adherence and aftercareservices
• Experience counseling patients using advancedpsychotherapeutic techniques
• Experience working with patients indifferent age groups, including older adults
• Experience workingwith computers for professional communication and medicaldocumentation – Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs) Exploreopportunities at Optum Behavioral Care .

Connecting. Growing together. Compensation for this specialtygenerally ranges from $218,000 – $382,000. Total cash compensationincludes base pay and bonus and is based on several factorsincluding but not limited to local labor markets, education, workexperience and may increase over time based on productivity andperformance in the role.
