Interventional Cardiology Opening in Jacksonville, FloridaMetro – Interventionalist w/ heavy peripheral skills or interest NOstructural We have a tremendous volume of patients and the doctors who joinour group will become busy right away. Seven year old group. It is a private practice is a singlespecialty cardiology and peripheral vascular disease practice.
There are five physicians in the group four interventionalist andone electrophysiologist . The practice located in Jacksonvilleacross the street from the Hospital. The office has an abundance of exam rooms, well-trained medicalassistants, five ARNP s. Full ancillary services including nuclearmedicine including cardiac PET, echocardiography, vascularultrasound, pacer checks, remote and holter monitoring etc. We haveregistered techs (RVT and RDMS) and have a very busy venous programincluding laser and radiofrequency ablations and sclerotherepy,etc. The lab is busy with peripheral vascular and coronary diagnosticangiograms. The peripheral cases include many complex peripheralinterventional cases. Including laser atherectomy, rotoblator,angio jet, etc. The peripheral vascular is well established with adiverse referral base. Importantly the more experienced operatorswork alongside and help new peripheral interventionalists gain theexperience and exposure to the complex cases at the office basedlab.
HOSPITAL
the office is located across the street from Hospital, anapproximately 450 bed hospital. This hospital has 6 labs, 4 cardiacand Peripheral, one or two full time EP labs and a hybrid room thatcan do routine coronary and PV, EP WACHMAN, lead extraction, latestablations and has a structural program including TAVR. The practice maintains several sub offices. Ordinarily, there maybe one or two days per month to a sub office for clinic. Theclinics are not far away and the entire day will be spent therewith no other duties. The area that almost all doctors live in isactually in the middle of this area and you are equidistant to alloffices from your home. Call rotation for STEMI is most often for established grouppatients mostly and once per month or so it may coincide with thehospital STEMI call. The group is on call rotation (1:4 or 5). Wehave about 25-35 patients in the hospital every day to consult orround and this number will grow. We have ARNP s to assist. The hospital rounding rotates to the on call dr The group admits99% of the patients through the hospitalists or PCP s and ourcardiologists only are consulting. After you leave for the eve,usually phone calls only except interventionalist respond to STEMIor cold legs. The volume of this practice is high, the referrals come from over100 referral sources and there is a very large population ofestablished patients in the group. You will enter a very busypractice. There will be some general cardiology for everyone in thegroup, but the EP and interventionalists will be an extremely busywith PV and coronary cases. The structural program is growing, butthis is not a high volume structural position.
