North Florida Cardiology – Non interventional Non invasive (orinvasive, non interventional) Opportunity Established North FL Cardiology practice is hiring The founding physician has been in the community for 20 years andhas developed a wide referral base. There are six othercardiologists including four Interventionalists, one noninterventional and one electrophysiologist. The group is a private practice. The main location of the practice is across the street from theHospital. The office has an abundance of exam rooms, well-trainedmedical assistants, four mid-level ARNP s. The ancillary services on site include an office based freestandingcath lab for diagnostic heart cath (some PCI) and a large volume ofperipheral vascular interventions. There is a PET scanner andnuclear medicine, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, pacerchecks, remote and holter monitoring etc. We are accredited andhave registered techs and we have a very busy venous programincluding laser and radiofrequency ablations and sclerotherapy,etc.
HOSPITAL
the office is located across the street from Hospital , anapproximately 450 bed hospital. This hospital has 6 labs, 4 cardiacand Peripheral, one or two full time EP labs. The hospital has a busy coronary interventional program including aestablished structural program. The practice maintains several sub offices. Ordinarily, thecardiologists will travel one day per week or less to a sub officefor clinic. When servicing a sub clinic the entire day is usuallyspent there. The group is on call rotation (1:5 or 6) for its ownpatients. Once per month call may coincide with the hospital STEMIcall. We typically have at least 25-40 patients in the hospital census.
We have ARNP s to assist rounding including weekends. The group admits patients through the hospitalists or PCP s and ourcardiologists only are consulting for cardiology or peripheralissues. The volume of this practice is high, the referrals comefrom over 100 referral sources and there is a very large populationof established patients in the group. You will enter a very busypractice. There will be some general cardiology for everyone in thegroup, but the EP and interventionalists will be an extremely busywith PV and coronary cases.
