Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

JOB DESCRIPTION
Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a leader to fill the Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation position in Jacksonville, Florida. The selected physician will provide visionary leadership in clinical care, program development, education, research, and quality improvement, ensuring that children with physical and developmental disabilities receive comprehensive, evidence-based and family-centered rehabilitative care.
Key responsibilities:
Direct the care of pediatric patients with a range of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and developmental conditions including cerebral palsy, brain and spinal cord injuries, congenital anomalies and chronic pain syndromes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, neurologists, orthopedists, therapists, psychologists, and social workers
Lead and manage the pediatric PM&R division, including staffing, resource allocation, and operational planning
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate physicians and other clinical staff within the division
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand and enhance pediatric rehabilitation services
Partner with hospital leadership on budgeting, capital planning, compliance, and patient satisfaction initiatives

MD or DO
Board certified in specialty Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
Minimum 5 years of experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
