This position offers aunique opportunity to contribute to patient care, research, andeducation in the field of celiac disease and intestinal immunology.
As a physician at Mayo Clinic, you will work in a collaborative andinnovative environment, providing exceptional care to patientswhile advancing the understanding and treatment of celiac disease,intestinal immunology and nutrition. Responsibilities :
Clinical Assessment and Management:
- Evaluate and manage patients with celiac disease.
- Provideevidence-based, patient-centered care, considering the unique needsof each individual.
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists,surgeons, nutritionists, immunologists and other specialists tooptimize patient outcomes.
Clinical Research:
- Submit for intraand extramural research grants in celiac disease
- Engage inclinical research related to celiac, including participation inclinical trials and observational studies. Partner with biomedicalresearch collaborators to advance knowledge of autoimmune diseasesat that affect intestinal epithlium.
- Contribute to thedevelopment of new treatment strategies and protocols.
- Publishresearch findings in peer-reviewed journals and present atconferences.
Education and Mentorship:
- Educate medical students,residents, and fellows on celiac disease management.
- Serve as amentor to trainees interested in gastroenterology and celiacdisease.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely withnursing staff, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcareprofessionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Collaborate withcolleagues across specialties to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligiblein Gastroenterology and be eligible for a Florida statelicense.
