Responsibilities The Department of Neurology at MayoClinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Comprehensive/GeneralNeurologist to join our practice. The Department is looking for aphysician who is board certified or board eligible in Neurology.

The physician will provide medical care in the outpatient setting.

The position includes the ambulatory evaluation and management ofdiverse patients with neurological presentations or symptoms thatare not designated to a specific subspecialty practice.

Subspecialty support is available for those patients who ultimatelyare diagnosed with a subspecialty specific condition. TheDepartment currently comprises 37 Neurologists withfellowship-trained expertise in cerebrovascular disease, behavioralneurology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and autoimmuneneurology, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, clinicalneurophysiology, sleep medicine, autonomic disorders, headache,neuro-ophthalmology, palliative care, critical care, andneuro-oncology. Candidates must have strong clinical skills anddemonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills and the capacity towork collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of consultantsand support staff. Additional consideration will be given tocandidates with previous education and research experience. TheDepartment is very active in undergraduate and graduate medicaleducation at the medical school, residency, and fellowship levels;the position will include contribution to the clinical educationalmission of the Department.
