Responsibilities The Division ofAnatomic Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking anAcademic Surgical Pathologist with expertise in Renal Pathology tojoin our large and growing academic practice. The candidates willbe expected to participate in general surgical pathology and/orcytopathology, as well as a focus on native and transplant renalbiopsies. This position offers numerous opportunities formultidisciplinary collaboration as well as personal careeradvancement. The ideal candidates is an academically productivepathologist with excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment tomultidisciplinary patient care and an interest in advancing thefield of renal pathology. Mayo Clinic Florida is a major transplantcenter in the southeast region including, kidney, pancreas, liver,lung, heart, and bone marrow. Approximately 208 renal transplantsand 900 renal biopsies are performed annually (80% transplant; 20%native). Additionally, about 400 native biopsy consults arereceived from clients in Florida and neighboring states. Physicianswork in a multi-disciplinary environment with world renownedtransplant teams providing the best care and novel therapeuticoptions for patients. We are most interested in a colleague whohighly values and demonstrates integrity, teamwork, and excellencein their work, and whose primary interest is always the needs ofthe patient. The selected candidates will be involved in theeducation of colleagues, as well as trainees and fellows as part oftheir daily work. The selected candidateswill join a group of 15 surgical pathologists and 18 clinicalpathologists in a practice environment that provides an opportunityfor professional growth and career development. All surgical andclinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participatein scholarly activities through research and education. Theposition includes an academic appointment with the College ofMedicine, Mayo Clinic. Qualifications Board eligibility or boardcertification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and ClinicalPathology is required. Completion of a fellowship in renalpathology and/or membership in Renal Pathology Society is required.

Two years post fellowship experience is preferred.
