The organization currentlyboasts a provider staff of well over 100 physicians, and a largeteam of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. They arecurrently hiring due to growth.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is an outpatient primary care position providing services toprimarily geriatric patients. Physicians conduct an average of 12 to 15 visits per day, allowingample time to examine and counsel every patient. The physician provides exceptional medical care to patients byconducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostictests, and developing treatment plans. This role involves directpatient care and administering medication, along with significantchronic disease management. Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- provide care for older adult patients with acute and chronicillnesses
- seek consultation from specialists when needed
- assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and promote patienthealth and wellness
- provide care coordination and documentation for patients
- provide quality evidence-based medical care in a managed careenvironment
- interpret data and diagnostic results including but not limitedto radiology, EKG, etc.
- oversee and supervise nurse practitioners and physicianassistants when needed
- ensure that patients are seen at least every other visit by aphysician The practice uses an EHR and provides full clinical andadministrative support.
All providers share equally in the on-call schedule, which consistsof low volume phone triage only. The physician will be on-call 2 or3 weeks per year.
REQUIREMENTS
- Florida medical license
- DEA•Board Certification or Eligibility, relevant field•2+ years outpatient practice experience
