Job Description
The Department of Ophthalmology and the USF Health Eye Institute at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is recruiting a physician scientist specializing in Glaucoma. This position will hold clinical and research responsibilities.
Medical degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program. Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor. Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license or Medical faculty certificate. This candidate must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital. Clinical experience in Glaucoma; Related research experience; History of competitive extramural research funding, peer reviewed publications and collaboration with other faculty.
Provides outpatient generalist and ambulatory and inpatient surgical care to patients at the USF Health Eye Institute and Tampa General Hospital. Maintains a nationally competitive research program with continued extramural funding, peer reviewed publications and collaboration with other faculty. Performs other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
