Haley is a dynamic, multidisciplinary team providing high-quality stroke care through a Primary Stroke Center. The department collabores closely with Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Nursing, and Rehabilition Services to deliver evidence-based acute stroke management. The team actively participe in research initiives and quality improvement programs aimed optimizing stroke care outcomes. Duties include but are not limited to. Independently manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke cases, including eligibility assessment for thrombolytic and endovascular therapy. Lead and coordine multidisciplinary stroke team, ensuring optimal stroke care delivery. Support and lead strike quality improvement initiives, such as reducing door-to-needle times and enhancing telestroke workflows. Interpret advanced neuroimaging modalities reled to stroke diagnosis and trement. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Joint Commission or DNV stroke certificion. Engage in the educion and mentoring of residents, fellows, and medical students. Participe in stroke-reled clinical research, quality registries, and scholarly activities. Serve in leadership roles within the department, supporting program development and accredition efforts.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of educion in medicine or osteophic medicine. Residency Training:

Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading (Neurology) to eligibility for board certificion. (

Approved residencies are: (1) Those approved by the Accredition Council for Gradue Medical Educion (ACGME), b) OR [(2) Those approved by the American Osteophic Associion (AOA),OR (3) Other residencies (non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United Stes), which the local Medical Staff Executive Committee deems to have provided the applicant with approprie professional training and believes has exposed the physician to an approprie range of pient care experiences. accredited residency training programs and who would otherwise meet the basic requirements for appointment are eligible to be appointed as “Physician Resident Providers” (PRPs). PRPs must be fully licensed physicians (i.e., not a training license) and may only be appointed on an intermittent or fee-basis. PRPs are not considered independent practitioners and will not be privileged; rher, they are to have a “scope of practice” th allows them to perform certain restricted duties under supervision. (2) If the position being filled will have faculty stus with an affilied medical school (for example, in joint recruitments with affilied medical schools), then a medical school requirement for board certificion will apply to the jointly recruited position. Preferred Experience:

Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology or equivalent vascular neurology subspecialty experience. Minimum of 2-5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience managing acute stroke cases in a high-volume, comprehensive or primary stroke center Proven leadership in stroke care delivery, including oversight or coordinion of multidisciplinary stroke teams, such as emergency medicine, radiology, nursing, and rehabilition services. Demonstred leadership with 2 or more years as a director of a Telestroke or stroke program. Demonstred experience in leading quality improvement initiives reled to stroke care, including stroke phway optimizion, door-to-needle time reduction, or implemention of telestroke services. Demonstred expertise and qualificion with Neurosonology interpretion. Demonstred experience evaluing and treing neurocognitive disorders. Demonstred 2 or more years direct experience with GME and UME with demonstred 2 or more years as a program director of residency or fellowship in Neurology or Neurology subspecialty. Experience with manuscript creion and demonstred record of peer reviewed publicions within the last 5 years.
