Weare looking for a Psychiatry Investigator who can contributeimmediately to our rapidly growing CNS and Neurology researchpractice.

This is 100% outpatient opportunity working Monday thruFriday 9AM to 4pm or 8AM to 5pm.

Position Summary:
  • Psychiatrist will serve as a Principal orSub-Investigator for psychiatric clinical trials withpharmaceutical companies testing new medications. The PrincipalInvestigator is responsible for conducting clinical trials inaccordance with the research protocol, Good Clinical Practices(GCPs), and federal/state regulations.
  • -The PI will collaboratewith our study team, as well as various medical, pharmaceuticalcompany and regulatory personnel to ensure the health and welfareof study participants.

Job Responsibilities:

1.

  • -Maintain current license to practice medicine.2
  • -Assume responsibility as the Principal or Sub-Investigatorfor the duration of
  • -clinical trials.3.
  • -Strong workingknowledge of regulatory requirements and GCP standards.4
  • -Possess thorough understanding of the clinical researchprotocol and patient population for which the trial is designed.5
  • -Perform psychiatric evaluations.6.
  • -Perform andsupervise/review psychiatric ratings performed by psychometriciansin accordance with the clinical research protocol.7. Completetraining as required per sponsor
  • -s vendors to obtaincertification to conduct testing and rating scales for specificprotocols.8. Conduct testing and rating scales per sponsor
  • -sinstructions and protocols.
  • -Completion of all documentation,paper and electronic, as required per protocol.9.
  • -Evaluatesubjects for clinical research trials based on their past medicaland psychiatric history in comparison to the protocol specificinclusion and exclusion criteria.10.
  • -Ensure appropriatedelegation and training of the clinical research staff.11
  • -Educate study staff on patient population and mechanism of actionof the study medication.12.
  • -Evaluate subject safety andcompliance with the study medication as specified in the clinicalresearch protocol.13.
  • -Provide detailed study relateddocumentation as required by the clinical research trial to ensuredata integrity.14.
  • -Adhere to reporting requirements for safetyreports, protocol noncompliance and any other protocol requiredreports.15.
  • -Ensure subject
  • -s informed consent is obtainedappropriately throughout the duration of the clinical trial.16
  • -Adhere to the requirements detailed on the FDA 1572 or Statementof Investigator form.17.
  • -Collaborate with Site Leadership toensure operations goals are met.18.
  • -Serve as a Key Opinion Leaderfor psychiatric clinical research trials within the organizationand with key customers.19.
  • -Attend Investigator Meetings andeducational seminars.
Testing and Rating Scales Required:

1.

  • -Meet or exceed studysponsor minimum qualifications needed for all identified ratingscales2.
  • -See attached list of scales required for AD ordementia/cognitive impairment trials3.
  • -See attached list ofscales/rating instruments for psychiatric and neurological trials4
  • -Actively work to receive and maintain certification for allrequired rating scales
Skills/Qualifications:

1.

  • -Possess avalid M.D. or D.O. degree 2.
  • -Board Certification inpsychiatry 4.
  • -Active DEA license, or able to obtain one
  • 5.
  • -Active license to practice medicine in the state ofFlorida, or ability to obtain one immediately6.
  • -Stronginterpersonal and leadership skills, self-motivation, and highpersonal integrity and ethics required
Education and Experience:

1

  • -Possess a valid MD or DO medical degree2.
  • -Boardcertification in psychiatry3.
  • -3-5 years experienceconducting psychiatric clinical research trials as either a PI orSub-investigator, or other relevant experience
