HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, in conjunction with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking an Emergency Medicine Program Director to establish our Emergency Medicine Residency Program as Core Faculty. The Program Director is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation and the general administration of the program. They the strategic direction of the program and are responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Emergency Medicine residency program. The Program Director will integrate the Emergency Medicine residency program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and promotes an optimal environment for graduate medical education.
Qualified Candidates:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine Minimum of three years’ experience as physician faculty in an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine residency program The Program Director must possess the required specialty expertise, as well as documented educational and administrative abilities, to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program Demonstrated experience in a leadership role (APD, core faculty, residency committee chair, or site director) in the most recent three years Must participate in ongoing scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications
Schedule:
50% clinical (some night and weekend coverage) and 50% GME focused
