The physician will perform physical exams, take medical histories, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, and recommend a plan of treatment within the accepted standards of practice and which support the philosophy, mission and purpose of Empath Health and Primary Care practice. Qualifications A.
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school and Board Certified in a related specialty unless the Board Certification requirement is waived by the Chief Medical Officer. Current/Active Florida license to practice medicine is issued pursuant to Florida Statute 458 or 459v. Must be eligible to receive Hospital Staff privileges at one or more hospitals commonly serving patients in the service area unless the requirement is waived by the Chief Medical Officer. Current Federal DEA registration. Valid CPR Certification required. No Medicare, Medicaid, or other Federal Program limitations or restrictions, including no DEA or other prescribing limitations. B.
Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years’ recent active geriatrics practice or a minimum of (5) years of internal medicine or family medicine outpatient experience. D.
Language Skills:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
