New Gastroenterology Hospitalist Locums Job in Georgia Ourclient in Georgia is searching for a Gastroenterologist to assistwith unrestricted call coverage starting in March/April andongoing. This is a large health system in Georgia, and a clientwe’ve partnered with often.
Details/Requirements for Assignment
- Would need to be available for one full week every month or everyother month
- Privileging process can take 4-5 months
- it’s lengthybut a great health system
- Will have virtual trainings, EPIC EMRtraining and modules to complete prior to start
- Moderate volume-Will likely work an 8-hour day Monday through Friday while taking24-hour call
- Weekends can expect to spend 4 hours on average inthe hospital per day
- No scheduled cases on the weekends, but willround, consult and operate as needed.
- ERCP preferred, EUS notrequired. Will not see any trauma
- willing to accept GeneralGastroenterology candidates
- Coverage is for two hospitals (onehospital is very low volume). The hospitals are 7 minutes away bycar
- Will have block time for Endoscopy during the week. Typicallywill see 3-4 consults per day on average as well
- InternalMedicine docs and Residents will help support the locum while onsite, and continuing care when locum isn’t on site
- Can expectphone calls in the evenings, but callbacks to the hospital are at aminimum.
