Inpatient Psychiatrist (Child and Adolescent) needed in Macon, GA (SA197603) Position Available In Bibb, Georgia

Job Description:

This Central Georgia mental health facility is seeking a boardcertified/board eligible Adult and/or Child and AdolescentPsychiatrist who will provide direct inpatient clinical care toindividuals admitted to the recovery center. These patientsexperience symptoms of mental illness, addiction, co-occurringdisorders, or developmental disabilities. The recovery centeroffers a full spectrum of evidence-based crisis stabilizationtreatments for behavioral health needs. Care is provided 24 hours aday, seven days per week, by professional and licensed staff.

Clinical detoxification or psychiatric stabilization services arebased on comprehensive assessments toward a plan to build anindividualized foundation for ongoing recovery. Clinical need iscontinually assessed, with the person served an active contributorto the planning process.

A local alternative to hospitalization, the44-bed center includes two crisis stabilization units one foradults and one for children and adolescents ages 5-14. Eachspecialized environment features unique supports focused onsoothing, stabilizing, and strengthening individuals withbehavioral health needs for return to a productive and meaningfullife in the community.

Day to day duties may include, but are notlimited to: Provide psychiatric initial evaluation, ongoingassessments, and/or crisis assessments Provide patient education ondiagnosis, medication, monitoring response to treatment and sideeffects of medication, informed consent, treatment adherence, andother individualized topics. Minimum QualificationsGraduate from amedical school recognized by AND an active Physician licensegranted by the Georgia composite state board of medical examinersAND certification in one of the following specialties:

At least 2 years ofpost-licensure psychiatric experience working with children andadolescents in a mental health setting.
