Job Description:

The City Driver operates tractor-trailer combinations to pick upand deliver trailers between service centers and turn-pointlocations. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip inspections,hooking/unhooking trailers, verifying documentation, maintaininglogs, and complying with safety and hazardous materialregulations. May load/unload freight, perform tire chaining, and assist as adock employee or city driver as needed. Qualifications include a Class A CDL with endorsements, at least 1year of recent experience or completion of a driver trainingcourse, a clean MVR, and ability to meet DOT requirements. Work involves long-distance driving in various weather conditions,exposure to noise, fumes, and potentially hazardous materials. Overnight stays and flexible hours may be required. Starting pay is $30.35/hour, and a hazardous materials endorsementmust be obtained within 120 days. This full-time position emphasizes safety, independence, andadherence to regulations.
