At Wellstar, our mission is simple, yet powerful: to enhance the health and well-being of every person we serve. We are proud to have become a shining example of what’s possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people’s lives. Wellstar Cardiovascular Medicine is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. The Wellstar Cardiac Network includes 9 hospitals and 26 office locations throughout metro Atlanta. Our 90 physicians and 86 APPs provide care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients (surgery, structural heart, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, ECMO, advanced heart failure and research). Wellstar Health System, one of the largest and most integrated health systems in Georgia, is seeking a board-certified cardiologist or internal medicine physician with specialized expertise in autonomic disorders to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary cardiology team. This position will focus on the cardiovascular aspects of autonomic nervous system dysfunction, including postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), orthostatic hypotension, vasovagal syncope, and other dysautonomias, serving patients in a collaborative, high-quality care environment.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage autonomic-related cardiovascular conditions across a diverse patient population. Perform and interpret autonomic testing (e.g., tilt-table testing, heart rate variability, Valsalva). Collaborate with neurology, electrophysiology, and internal medicine teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care. Participate in the development of an autonomic disorder subspecialty clinic within the Wellstar Cardiology service line. Educate patients, families, and staff on dysautonomia management and emerging treatments. Contribute to quality improvement, clinical research, and academic initiatives within Wellstar.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification in Cardiology or Internal Medicine. Clinical experience or fellowship training in autonomic disorders strongly preferred. Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia. Demonstrated excellence in interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in tilt-table testing and management of POTS, IST, and related syndromes. Experience with adolescent or young adult populations a plus. Academic or clinical research experience in dysautonomia.
Why Join Wellstar Health System:
Work with one of Georgia’s most respected healthcare networks, serving millions across the region. Competitive compensation with productivity bonuses. Full suite of benefits including medical, dental, retirement, and CME support. Access to advanced technology, research, and continuing education opportunities. A supportive, collaborative work environment with a focus on physician well-being. Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work-and enjoy a more rewarding life. Connect with the most integrated health system in Georgia, and start a future that gives you more.
