Overview:
A small, growing private practice is seeking aCollaborating Psychiatristto support aPsychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)in meeting state and DEA licensing requirements. This remote, part-time role is ideal for a Georgia-licensed psychiatrist who is passionate about mentorship, compliance, and quality psychiatric care
- -Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and collaborate on prescribing controlled substances
- Review 10% of patient charts, as mandated by Georgia PMHNP regulations
- Provide consultation and guidance on complex or challenging cases
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Georgia state lawsand DEA requirements
- Maintain open and professional communication, including periodic check-ins and availability for guidance
- -Requirements
- Active Medical License in Georgia(Required)
- Clean professional record (no violations or disciplinary history)
- Experience in psychiatric care, ideally in a collaborative setting
- Ability to review charts and advise on treatment plans
- Willingness to submit to a background check, if needed
- Malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain coverage)
- Commitment to signing a Collaborative Practice Agreementfollowing Georgia law

- $250/monthfor the first 6 months (practice setup phase)
- $300/monthafter initial 6 months
- Payments are issued monthly on the 1st

- Flexible, self-determined hours
- Regular check-ins (minimum of 30 minutes, twice weekly)
- Commitment of at least 6 months, with the option to extend by mutual agreement
- 30-day notice is required for termination by either party
