RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for analyzing, trending, and presenting production metrics for Digital Pathology. Will analyze the Pathology Dashboards to identify opportunities to improve turnaround time (TAT) for Digital Imaging Techs. Master Trainer level understanding of these applications and their integration points to include knowledge of Sectra PACS, Epic Beaker AP, and AP workflows. Training of Digital Pathology staff on the use, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for scanners in Digital Pathology. Leads validation efforts, develops testing scripts, and coordinates testing for new build or change requests for Digital Pathology. 5. Works with vendors and Laboratory Informatics on maintenance and troubleshooting for scanner issues. Resolve workflow issues at one or more EHC Pathology Department sites including: EUH, EUHM, EDH, ESJH, and EJCH. Engages with Pathology Faculty, AP Operational Leaders, and Beaker AP Clinical Applications Analysts and Manager to identify opportunities for enhancing EHC Pathology Services workflow. Regularly convenes with AP Operational leaders, Epic Beaker AP Leadership, Pathologists, and AP Expert Users to present findings and propose solutions for workflow improvement. Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development. Attends educational in-services as appropriate. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. Create action plans to improve EHC Pathology Services workflow. Trained in EHC ServiceNow. Maintains accurate notes in ServiceNow and weekly work logs for reporting purposes. Coordinates with Epic Beaker AP team to resolve tickets that are a result of workflow issues and technical issues involving Sectra PACS for Digital Pathology. Employees will be responsible for responding to all logged tickets from EHC Digital Pathology Services within an established Service Level Agreements (SLA) in ServiceNow. Notifies Pathology and Epic Beaker AP leaders when issues have been identified and not resolved. Seeks input and recommendations from Pathology SMEs, Epic Beaker AP Analyst, Sectra admins. Stays informed on HIPAA, CAP, and other policies, ensuring compliance by reviewing documents and updating physicians on changes in departmental services or programs. May require occasional on-call responsibilities for nights, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma

Experience:

Three years of experience in Pathology services department with strong knowledge of Pathology workflow, Pathology modalities, and medical anatomy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field

Experience:

Experience in application systems/administration
