Piedmont Transplant Institute, a national leader in transplant quality, volumes, and patient experience, is seeking a full time BE/BC Transplant Infectious Disease Physician to join our team here in Atlanta Georgia. The physician will be 1 of 2 full-time transplant ID physicians supported by a transplant APP. Call is shared with a group of ID physicians at Piedmont Atlanta and will be part of a true multidisciplinary transplant institute model of care.
Piedmont’s transplant program is based in Atlanta, and includes large-volume heart, liver, kidney, and kidney-pancreas programs. Piedmont performed over 600 solid organ transplants in 2024, and operates the Lifelink Organ Recovery Center at Piedmont Atlanta.
The infectious disease physician is responsible for consultative care for our multi-organ abdominal transplant, cardiac transplant, and LVAD patients with infections. The involved physicians will also play an intricate role in the protocol development and clinical questions around organ acceptance, hepatitis, HIV, and other transmissible illnesses.

Inpatient rounding on Infectious Disease (ID) consults in cardiac, LVAD, and solid-organ transplants
Outpatient clinics for new outpatient consults and follow up after hospitalizations
