Job Description
THE HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE
Where Talent Meets Opportunity Inpatient Psychiatrist We are actively recruiting for an Inpatient Psychiatrist with a great hospital system in the state of Georgia. This is a free-standing behavioral health facility with 53 beds, recognized as one of the top intensive outpatient units, and only inpatient unit in the region. The supporting hospital is a 300+ bed full-service, acute care, and teaching hospital.
Psychiatrist role:
Provide treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including deciding for hospitalization if needed. Provide routine, intensive, complex, and emergency intakes, and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders. Provide continuing follow-up care for chronic patients with acute disorders and complications of these disorders, such as psychosis, organic brain syndrome, substance abuse/addictions, etc. Assist in growing the department with a focus on the geriatric population. Treatment focus for this position is on outpatient services, with maintaining current knowledge and experience of inpatient care.
Position Details:
Full time position. Rounding once per week. 53 Bed inpatient hospital with an Average Daily Census of 20 of adult and geriatric cases. Patients come from the hospital ER, outpatient clinics, walk-ins, and surrounding ER’s. Reports directly to the
CMO License/Certifications/Experience:
Board certification or board eligible in Behavioral Health. Active State medical license or ability to obtain. Must have Inpatient Psychiatry experience. Thank you and please let me know if you are open to new opportunities.
