Job Description Reporting to the Regional Clinical Operations Director, RVP (RCOD),the Occupational Medicine Clinical Associate (OMCA) is a clinicalrole to for the specific purpose of promoting and supportingoccupational medicine initiatives. Duties will include bothadministrative and clinical work. The OMCA collaborates effectivelywith the care team to continuously improve outcomes, experience,and efficiency of our service line offerings. The OMCA will workcollaboratively with the regional medical leader, ACODs, theoccupational medicine team, as well as with operations leaders toensure that we continue to provide the highest quality care with acontinued focus on the occupational medicine experience throughoutthe market. The OMCA will assist the RCOD and ACODs withoccupational medicine needs within the Georgia market. The positionwill require a primary focus on occupational medicine onsiteservices as well as clinical shift work in occupational medicinecenters. There will be dedicated time for travel and administrativeduties. Time spent between onsite and in center duties will need tobe flexible with the expectation for the role to focus onoccupational medicine success and growth. Generally, the OMCA willspend 80-90% of their time working clinically. Night and weekendresponsibilities would only be required in the event of a scheduledonsite event. - The OMCA will contribute to the continued health of ourorganizational culture by promoting a work environment that placesa relentless focus on quality care and patient experience andfosters an atmosphere of teamwork and trust.
- The OMCA will spend most of their time interacting with andsupporting clinicians and occupational medicine staff whileevaluating patients.
- The OMCA should develop an understanding of the clinicalconcerns and issues affecting occupational medicine treatment/workflow and work with the ACODs to address them. Clinical Practice
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physicalexaminations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, andtreatment.
- Collaborate with the leadership team in patient care assessmentfor all services provided at the centers and assist in ensuringthat appropriate clinical protocols are followed in conjunctionwith the findings.
- In collaboration with the operations team, the OMCA assists, asrequested and able, in developing processes, training, policies,procedures, and guidelines to assure quality of care standards aremet throughout the system. Operations
- While maintaining high standards of medical care, supportclinic KPIs including, but not limited to, reducing overalldoor-to-door times, reducing cancellation rates and improving NetPromoter Scores.
- Vigorously support the development and maintenance of patientand employer satisfaction & loyalty.
- Support process improvement efforts of Work Comp / EmployerServices throughout the organization via promotion of andcollaboration on best practice in clinical and business operations.
This includes client relations, training, and clinicianstaffing. Human Resources
- Develops and maintains effective relationships withclinicians.
- Collaborate with the RVPs and ACODs to understand occupationalmedicine staffing needs in their centers.
- Supports and enhances clinician satisfaction.
