Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine has six practice locationsthroughout the Atlanta metro area, including a cutting-edgesurgical facility in Chamblee, GA. We are one of the few Georgiapractices to offer both a stand-up MRI and an open MRI. Inaddition, we have state of the art diagnostics tools includingdigital X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and hyperbaric chambers.

We areexpanding our practice and have a unique opportunity for anexperienced PM&R Physiatrist to join our growing team of worldclass professionals. You will work with a variety of patients andassist them in restoring optimal physical function and help themimprove their quality of life. Many of our patients are affected byacute injury. The physiatrist will primarily care for patients withback and neck pain, musculoskeletal problems, and acute/sub-acutespine disorders. You will also work with patients from a diversepayor source.

This position offers Monday-Friday office hours and noweekends or calls (although weekends are available if desired). Allprocedures are performed in-house, and we utilize in-house imaging(x-ray, MRI, and CT scanner). We utilize a comprehensive,non-chronic opioid treatment plan to get our patients better.

Responsibilities:

Skilled and proficient in the following: Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural injections, includingcervical selective nerve root blocks Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar facet injections, SIJinjections, medial branch blocks Cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and SIJ branch blocks and RFA Occipital nerve blocks Ganglion impar blocks Interarticular hip injections, piriformis injections PRP injections Collaborate with a team of orthopedic surgeons andinterventional pain physicians Supervising a team of medical professionals, includingphysician assistants, nurse practitioners, and medicalassistants Work in more than one of our current locations Willing to grow with the practice As the official physicians for the local Major League Rugbyteam, occasional weekend coverage is required Experience as a non ortho, with clinical and spinal injectionsare a huge plus.

Requirements:

Board Certified by The American Board of Physical Medicine andRehabilitation Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine or Interventional Spine(board certification a plus) excellent interpersonal and communication skills Personable, a team player, and possesses a passion forimproving the health and well-being of their patientsWhat s in itfor you?
