Coding Specialist, OB/GYN, Full-Time, Brunswick Position Available In Glynn, Georgia

Identifies and codes all patient records and performs charge entry while maintaining a 96% accuracy rate. Demonstrates understanding of policies, procedures, and federal guidelines that apply directly to coding and other duties of the job. Effectively monitors billing reports and the accounts not selected for billing reports to avoid inappropriate delays in coding and billing. Effectively communicates current and revised coding changes and clarifications to Business Office and to Manager, Physician Practice. Works with Patient Financial Services Department in the review and correction of claims that fail the pre-billing editing screens. Stays abreast of current coding, billing, and reimbursement issues. Actively participates in the ongoing education of ancillary departments and Medical Staff members regarding coding regulations and role responsibilities.
