Job Summary Reporting to the NGPG Vice President of Operations, the Executive Director provides leadership, direction, and administration for all operational activities of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. The Executive Director implements and monitors policies and procedures that ensure high quality, efficient and compassionate patient care, and is accountable for the fiscal integrity of the group. This position is responsible for the execution of business development initiatives in accordance with the strategic plan and ensures the promotion of positive community relations. The Executive Director has responsibility for assuring that the operations function efficiently within all clinical areas. This position is responsible for the quality of care delivered at each practicing location. The Executive Director works with the Vice President of Operations in determining the operational needs, in coordination with NGPG’s strategic planning process to assess and implement long term goals and initiatives. The Executive Director works in a dyad relationship with NGPG Chiefs of Service, providing leadership over all phases of NGPG operations. In addition to providing the highest level of safety to our patients, visitors, staff and providers, the Executive Director will focus on: exceptional patient service strategic organizational growth physician and staff engagement high quality clinical care that is patient centered operational efficiency and cost effectiveness compliance with regulatory standards strong fiscal responsibility Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications:

Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Capacity to recognize the importance of building consensus on the basis of influence, creditability, trust and respect Ability to demonstrate previous collaborative experience with an understanding of the alignment of a multi-specialty physician group within a health system Ability to provide strong and effective advocacy of the physicians group Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement large complex projects Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Growth Responsible for the execution of strategic plans that focus on growth, establishing best practices and developing efficiency and reliability Participates in the planning of growth, expansion and renovation projects within the medical group Assess opportunities for market growth and program development that supports overall system strategy Collaborates with marketing department to define effective tactics for brand recognition and physician panel growth Responsible for development of new facilities, including architectural design, construction and capital budget Service Leads by example, establishing a culture of excellence with service standards, performance measures and short- and long-term strategies to create the ideal patient experience Conducts improvement rounds on a routine basis to identify and resolve concerns and opportunities for improvement. Represents NGPG to a wide variety of internal and external customers in a manner that is service oriented and effectively builds relations Develops standard work focused on providing an exceptional patient experience Analyzes patient satisfaction data (Press Ganey/CGCAHPS) and publicly reported data to assess trends and develop appropriate action plans Stewardship Achieves financial performance targets to support the

goals and objectives Prepares cost benefit analysis in the development and evaluation of operational strategies, plans and objectives; makes appropriate recommendations Accountable for capital planning and other operating expenses related to strategy, growth and systems improvement within group Leads operations management team in group wide budget planning and strategy; accountable for outcomes Establishes access and productivity standards and holds team accountable for performance Monitors revenue and expense trends and proactively initiates cost effective measures to enhance performance Responsible for assessing national benchmark data, ensuring NGPG overall financial performance is consistent with other high performing integrated delivery medical groups Accountable for strategic planning and execution of processes resulting in providers meeting or exceeding productivity goals People Manages the operational performance and outcomes of NGPG’s operational executive leadership team by providing direction and support and assuring that oversight of operations and programs is maintained at the highest level Assess the role and function of key operational leadership; link individual performance goals to NGHS’s operational and strategic goals Establishes and maintains effective, positive collaborative relationships with medical leaders, managers and staff members. Interfaces with all departments throughout NGHS regarding any cross function operational issues Participates in physician recruitment and orientation activities. Accountable for strategic planning and execution of processes resulting in providers meeting or exceeding productivity goals Responsible for provider communication with areas of responsibility Promotes professional growth of direct reports Creates an atmosphere that recognizes, celebrates and rewards both individual and team performance Quality Fosters a culture of patient safety and develops processes that support a “do no harm” environment Ensures providers and employees are rendering services in conformance with local, state and federal regulatory guidelines and laws Responsible for process improvement strategy within clinical setting to insure all quality goals are met or exceeded Develops a comprehensive strategy that ensures service is provided in the most appropriate setting Ensures that all providers and staff are proficient and compliant with the use of the EHR and associated clinical systems Responsible for operational performance of NGPG Manages populations toward predictable cost, quality, and service outcomes Oversees group performance within the inpatient setting, working collaborative with NGMC leadership Delivery Responsible for execution for Quest for Excellence within NGPG Supports the development of standards of practice that target improved patient access Leads innovation within the physicians group that focuses on new models of care delivery Develops and maintains dashboards that monitor practice metrics that focus on safety, people, delivery, quality, and stewardship Responsible for transitions of care and flow between the ambulatory and inpatient setting Oversees group performance within the inpatient setting, working collaboratively with NGMC leadership Insures efficiencies exist that minimize patient wait times and improve throughput
