Job Description

The Physician Assistant is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Outpatient medical consultation services under supervision of a physician in our medical office.

Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient’s medical conditions.

Conducting follow-up patient care.

Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results.

Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.

Answering emergency telephone calls after hours and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Administer and order drugs for patients.

Complete all notes/tasks in patient’s EMR account indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.

Providing health education to patients and families.

Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.

Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Minimum 1-year clinical experience in Family Practice or Urgent Care requiredMaster’s in NursingCurrent APRN licensure in GeorgiaCurrent Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration preferredIf today is not the right time for a career change, maybe you know a friend who is ready for a change.
