Job Summary:
Reports to the Operations Manager, the Physician is primarily responsible for providing patient care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. The Physician works closely with other physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. The Physician is a highly visible position that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and other visitors he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone.

The Geriatrician is primarily responsible for providing elderly patient care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, monitoring drug regimens, assessing risks of medications, assessing mental and physical health of patients, providing medical and lifestyle advice, and educating patients at the facilities which we support. The Geriatrician works closely with other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. The Geriatrician is a highly visible position that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, administration, and others he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone. The Geriatrician is accountable for activities that support meeting St. Elizabeth Physicians’ financial goals and objectives. The Geriatrician is responsible to support all members of the Administrative and Management Teams. Must have graduated from a professional school and completed in good standing an accredited post-graduate residency training and geriatric fellowship program. Must be able to obtain a state license in which you will practice as a Geriatrician. Must be and remain board certified (with a lapse of no longer than a year) in principal practice specialty or become and remain board certified (with a lapse of no longer than a year) within six years of completion of post-graduate medical training. Board certification must be recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association. Must be compassionate and empathetic. Must have good communication and critical thinking skills.
