Opportunityfor Medical DirectorPosition Overview:

Join the team, anoccupational medicine clinic, as a dedicated physician with apassion for evidence-based occupational medicine. This role offersthe opportunity for growth into a Medical Directorship and aleadership position within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
PatientCare:

Provide clinical care two days per week, addressing workplacehealth issues and implementing evidence-based practices.

Leadershipand Administration:

Oversee clinic operations three days per week,including staff support, development, administrative tasks, andstate and federal contract oversight.

Certifications:

Obtain ormaintain certification with the National Registry of CertifiedMedical Examiners and as a Medical Review Officer (MRO).

RegulatoryKnowledge:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of workplaceregulations, including workers compensation, occupational safety,and transportation regulations.

Education and Communication:

Participate in and present educational programs, such as CAOHC andthe NIOSH respirator program. Show effective communication skillsand the ability to make strategic decisions.

Qualifications:
MedicalBackground:

Board certified or board eligible in occupationalmedicine (preferred), internal medicine, family medicine, oremergency medicine. At least three years of experience inoccupational medicine is preferred, though urgent and primary careexperience may be considered.

Leadership Experience:

Previousexperience in a leadership role, with the ability to inspire andtrain staff, and demonstrate strong presentation skills.

TeamCollaboration:

Ability to work collegially with a diverse team ofphysicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, medical assistants,health coaches, dietitians, and administrative staff.

Community andWork Environment:
Location:

Serve Kennebec and Somerset counties incentral Maine, including Augusta. Engage with state governmentorganizations and various industry site clinics.

Work Hours:

Operatebetween 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with no calland minimal evening or weekend work.
