In our long history as an academic anesthesia department, The Medical College of Gia¿s Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine has established clerkships, a pain fellowship, and an anesthesiology critical care fellowship. A joint emergency medicineanesthesiology critical care fellowship started in , and we weed our first pediatric anesthesiology fellow in . Our anesthesiology residency program providesprehensive training in perioperative patient care, pain management and critical care medicine. Job Summary
Provide administrative support for the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology (Faculty, CRNA’s, and rotating ResidentsFellowsMedical Students). Provide backup support to the department’s Front Office staff. A team who facilitates services for + APP’s, + Physicians.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include but not limited to
Administrative Support Provide Administrative support for current faculty soon to be within the Division of Pediatric Anesthesia, APP’s, Fellow and rotating ResidentsMedical Students. Provide backup support to the department’s Front Office staff. A team who facilitates services for + APP’s, + Physicians. Handle routine correspondence related to patient care, teaching and research;pose routine letters, memos, and reports; keep electronic files and backup of documents maintaining a welanized filing system; update faculty CV provide routine updates regarding publications, presentations, etc. for faculty database insuring all faculty records are kept current; maintain calendar for section faculty and midlevel members to include scheduling monthly section meeting,mittee appointments, teaching, etc.; attend section meeting and maintain meeting minutes; distribute mail and other information such as policies and procedures, schedules, etc.; track CME requirements prepare travel authorization forms.
Office Liaison
Serve as office liaison when coordinating business on behalf of department for all things telmunications; facilities; & select information technology correspondence.
Procurement
Procurement activities for the Division of Pediatric Anesthesia via PeopleSoft. Prepare Medical Administrative Services s for the CHOG Clinical Service Chief, Anesthesia informaticist, and Clerkship Director. Provide support to Department Assistant Property Control Officer.
Billing
Daily reconciliation & facilitation of Anesthesia Billing for Pediatric and Obstetrics & Gynecology Anesthesia practice. Provide backup billing support to other areas of practice.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School DiplomaGED from a recognized State or Federal accreditinganization with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible office support experience.
OR
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and otherputer softwaredatabases.
