This east Georgia medical center is seeking a boardcertified/board eligible General Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon, orVascular Surgeon to provide services as a Wound Care Physician.
This candidate will be the leading, full-time physician who willcoordinate with Vascular Surgery in preventing amputations in theOutpatient Wound Care Program at our Augusta campus in Georgia.
This location is a 581 bed hospital specializing in adult care. OurWound & Hyperbaric Center is a hospital outpatient programproviding treatment for problem and chronic wounds and hyperbarictreatments.

Staffing Design:
Our Outpatient Wound and HBO Center isdesigned to have two physicians running clinics and supervisingHyperbaric. The Center is open five days a week with clinics thatallow two Physicians to work concurrently. Presently, we have onefull time physician and three private practice physicians.
Qualifications:
Board certified in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, orVascular Surgery Post graduate fellowship training through an ACGME accreditedprogram New graduates/experienced candidates will be considered Experience in managing diabetes and patients with a high riskfor amputations Wound Certification desired however can be obtained within oneyear of hire date
Position Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional patient experience through quality care andhealed outcomes Serve as a physician leader in marketing our Wound Care Programwithin the community in collaboration with the Manager ofOutpatient Wound and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Advocate in the development of a new program involvingamputation prevention in collaboration with Vascular,Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, DiabetesEducation and Wound Care Embrace team participation with skilled and experienced nurses
Compensation:
