Starting base salary: $340,000

Responsible for all clinical and administrative functions of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine service.
Responsible to ensure that all residency training program mandates are met and may serve as the site director for Pathology Service.
Identifies needs and recommends major equipment acquisition and replacementEnsures accurate clinical laboratory test results with turn-around-time (TAT).Ensures accurate anatomic pathology services (surgical pathology, cytology, and autopsy), with TATs that meet the reasonable and possible expectations of the medical staff and accrediting agencies.
Ensures communication and coordination between the Medical Center laboratory services and the clinical/patient care services.
Ensures clinical service meet all regulations and directives at local, regional, and national level including accrediting agencies.
Serves as OBVAMC and BAFB Lab Director.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology by the American Board of PathologyMust be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not foundFull and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Contract:
No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
