Job Summary:
Join the General Surgery team at Woman’s Hospital where we uniquely focus on providing exceptional healthcare for women. Woman’s Hospital has an opening for a BC/BE general surgeon to join our general surgery practice. Currently, our group has 1 full time general surgeon with supportive call coverage from a secondary physician group that provides 1:4 call coverage. All surgeries occur at a single Magnet-designated hospital located in Baton Rouge-a vibrant state capital with the feel and amenities of a college town within a modern city on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. Day-to-day practice is enhanced by block time and availability of 3 Xi robotic systems. The general surgeon would collaborate with the 60+ OB/GYNs, GYN oncologists and breast surgeons on campus. The practice specializes in a wide range of procedures, including laparoscopic surgery, abdominal and soft tissue procedures, endoscopy, hernia repair, thyroid surgery, and bariatrics to name a few.
